Straightaway Cocktail Party for 20
Join other ORS supporters at the Straightaway distillery tasting room on SE Hawthorne for an intimate cocktail party on Thursday evening, May 21, 2020.  Unwind and take the edge off the week in this fun and unique Portland environment.  Experience the cocktail as an art form.  Straightaway offers astonishing ones, perfectly mixed and bottled with local ingredients.

We’re in agreement that a good cocktail should never be out of reach--classic and lesser-known spirited and balanced cocktails with ingredients of the best grade are here for the taking.  Enjoy delicious appetizers and banana pudding provided by Reverend’s BBQ, a flight tasting of Straightaway’s five signature cocktails, and the smooth, cool jazz of Naomi LaViolette.

Paella Party for 8
Join ORS Tenor Christopher Bailey and Robert Lusk for an evening of Spanish cuisine and taste delights at their Mt. Tabor home.

Upon arrival, you and seven guests will sip sherry and sample several types of Jamon.  From there, move to the table and feast on paella cooked over an outdoor flame--chicken, chorizo, lobster, mussels and clams--all nestled in a spicy saffron scented rice.  Seconds (and thirds) are encouraged, but be sure to save room for one of Chris' fabulous desserts!

A Wine Lovers' Evening for 6
You and your guests will be wined and dined in the Continental tradition, at an unparalleled gathering in Portland’s wooded West Hills. Indulge yourself — delight in the sights of the remarkable design work of Portland’s award-winning architect, Robert Oshatz, in one of his favorite home designs. Step under the soaring curved cedar beams reflected in stunning copper trim and experience what it’s like to live inside a work of art. This dinner is designed to pair exquisite food with just the right wines. Roy Wilkinson will choose a spectacular selection of wines, aged to perfection in his extensive cellar, and designed to complement the sumptuous fare. Past offerings have included vintage Champagne, Sancerre, Bordeaux, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Brunello di Montalcino, Sauternes, and vintage Port. Nora McLaughlin and Paula Creamer will create an elegant six-course repast of seasonal fare featuring farm-fresh ingredients for six guests. The time and date of the dinner will be determined in consultation with the donors and may be scheduled between May 2020 and April 2021. Preferences of the donor will be incorporated in the evening’s menu.
