Oregon Repertory Singers presents
The British Invasion
Saturday, February 27th
LeftBank Annex
This fun-filled evening in Portland’s beautiful LeftBank Annex will include extensive silent and live auctions, accompanied by fine local wine, three-course dinner by Vibrant Table, and dessert by Papa Haydn. Our adult and youth choirs will perform music from the British Invasion of the 60s and 70s. ORS traditionally raises over a quarter of its budget from this event, which attracts up to 400 arts patrons and supporters. The money we raise enables us to continue serving our community through world-class choral performances and our youth choir music education program.
Artistic Directors Ethan Sperry and Kimberly Putnam will be our event emcees, joined by Executive Director Allison Silverberg. Our Live Auction and Paddle Raise will be hosted by Auctioneer Sonia Montalbano: Sonia Montalbano is a recovering New Yorker. Somehow this daughter of a fast talking Sicilian macaroni salesman ended up studying theater, comedy and philosophy. With that background it was a natural transition to becoming an attorney specializing in litigation. Needing an audience wherever she can find one, she has also served as an emcee and auctioneer for dozens of non-profits in the Portland area, bringing her unique style to the typical “yadda-yadda-yadda” patter of most events. She has helped raise over $1.5 million for a variety of organizations. She looks forward to retirement so she can focus on her true passion, watching Downton Abbey with her cats.
